A Northumberland racecourse has joined in celebrating the return of a jockey who is competing again after being in hospital.
Hexham Racecourse was 'thrilled' to welcome back 23-year-old Aidan Macdonald after recoving from a life-threatening stroke.

Mr Macdonald, who trains in Middleham, North Yorkshire, was taken to hospital following the fall, then two weeks later he suddenly collapsed.
It was later found that the stroke was caused by the previous fall.
Just under two-years later, Mr Macdonald announced the news that he was returning back to racing at Sedgefield racecourse on September 27.
Proving to doctors that he would ride again after it was doubtful.
A spokesperson for Hexham Racecourse said: "We’re delighted that Aidan is back riding."
