TWO cats are seeking their forever home from the RSPCA branch in Hexham.
A pair of British Shorthair cats, known as Felix and Merlin, are searching for their forever home after their last adoptive owner and RSPCA volunteer, Val Dodds, died several months ago.
Brothers Felix and Merlin are both around 11 years old and have lived together all their lives. They were adopted from the branch by Val 10 years ago, and after she died they went back into the charity's care approximately five to six weeks ago.

Felix has a white face and black markings, while Merlin is mainly black.
John Billaney, the rehoming officer of the RSPCA Hexham branch, said: "Felix and Merlin are very friendly, they love to be stroked, love a cuddle, and like to be with you all the time. They love to be brushed and they use the litter tray, they're very clean. Their favourite food is fish food, and they love their Dreamies. They're very loving and affectionate."
"They love each other and they are bonded, so they must go together. We couldn't possibly separate them," he added.
John said they may benefit from no other animals being in the home as they are used to a quiet life.
"Val was a valued volunteer at our Hexham shop for many years. She volunteered when the shop first opened in 1998 until 2018. Val also volunteered at our Prudhoe shop for a number of years.
"She was a great fundraiser for us and often could be seen during RSPCA Week dressed up as a dog with her collecting tin around Hexham," John said.
He said Felix and Merlin have always been house cats, but would maybe enjoy going into a garden in summer months.
"They have lived in a loving home all their lives, we would love them to find a new home very soon.
"They have been vet checked and both had some dental work done, and their vaccinations are up to date," he added.
For those interested in potentially re-homing Felix and Merlin contact John Billaney, whose working days are Monday Wednesday and Friday, on 07519876789.
