A NEW TV series presented by Matt Baker will follow seven applicants in their bid to take on the tenancy of a Northumberland farm.
The tenancy of Gallows Hill Farm on the National Trust's Wallington estate, comprised of 137ha of land and an idyllic Grade II listed farmhouse, is available for the first time in over 30 years and offers an opportunity to a new tenant to develop a high nature status farm.
Production company Big Circus Media is creating an eight-part television series for More4.
The show's applicants will be assessed on their business plans and their abilities and approaches to agricultural, environmental farming and renovation by completing a series of real-world tasks and experiences.
The successful applicant will be invited to take on a 10-year tenancy of the farm.
The series will be presented by Matt Baker and the assessors will be representatives of the National Trust.
Filming is planned to take place in March 2023, with the show airing on More4 later next year.
