Organiser of a truck parade hopes to make the second year, bigger and better.
Last year, Fiona Pattison organised Northumberland’s first-ever truck parade with Alex MacLennan from Forestry England to thank drivers for their work during Covid-19 and throughout the year.
The former teacher assistant knows how hard haulage drivers work, with her husband James being one, making her want to do something for the workers.
Her aim for last year was for the event to start something to be continued to be a large-scale social event each year for towns and villages in the area.
This year's event will be on December 9 and will start at 5:30 from Kielder then Bellingham followed by Wark, Chollerford, Wall, Acomb, and finishing in Hexham Mart.
She hopes it will bring joy to everyone who sees it.
"After last year's success, we have big plans," Fiona said.
"We are trying to get carol singers into Wark, Wall, and Acomb with The George doing food.
"As well as organising a craft fair, in Bellingham, we will have the sunshine steel panners - who got everyone in a great mood last year.
"Another big change will be the timings of the event will change slightly and not be as long between villages.
"The end destination will be Hexham mart and not Egger.
"We are really looking forward to it this year and hope everyone else is too.
"During the event, we will be passing charity buckets to help raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance and Santa's little helpers.
"We feel strongly about raising money for Santa's little helpers, as they provide Xmas dinners and presents for children and families in the north Tyne.
"Last year we provided 12 Xmas dinners and 16 children received presents, so this year, we are hoping to be able to increase the number of families we help.
"It is important that we try to do more this year, especially with the way the bills are rising - I think there might be more families needing help this year."
