A warm hub has been set up in a rural community where people will be able to enjoy free entertainment and refreshments this winter.
The initiative in Alston Moor will begin on Monday, November 21 and will then take place every Monday from 10am until 3pm. The scheme will be in place for six months.
Visitors will be able to access free tea, coffee and light refreshments at Alston Town Hall, Front Street, as well as a range of entertainment and activities.
There will also be advice and information on energy savings, home safety and access to community support.
The initiative is being run through the trustees of the town hall by Alston Parish Council and is supported by Cumbria Community Foundation and the Frieda Scott Charitable Trust.

Raymond Miller, chair of Alston Moor Parish Council, said: "It's an idea we had a while ago. We just said it's something that we have to do for Alston Moor."
He expressed concern that people might not come forward as there are many "proud people".
"We're trying to offer as much as we possibly can for people of the Moor," he said.
He said the entertainment on offer could include bingo, dominos, and films, but they are keen to ask attendees what they would like to see.
