A councillor is 'pleased' with the work of a newly refurbished community pavilion.
On Saturday, November 26 Civic Head of Northumberland, Councillor Trevor Cessford opened the refitted pavilion in Acomb.
Cllr Cessford was 'pleased' to open the building, after he invested £20,000 of his members' allowance towards the scheme.
It was also supported financially by Sport England.
The County Councillor for Hexham Central with Acomb said: "There was a large turnout for the opening.
"I would like to thank the Chair of Acomb Parish Council, Councillor Norman Robson for his, and the other councillors' hard work in getting the project over the line.
"Others to thank are Sport England, Premier Boilers and Bathroom, who carried out the refurbishment, Jeff and Alan Kennedy, who did the roofing works, and the Women's Institute who provided the refreshments.
"The pavilion is now available to be booked by contacting the parish council clerk, Bill Grigg, at griggbill@gmail.com or on (01434) 634397."
