Langley Dam Glamping, Hexham, was one runner-up of the Dark Skies Award, alongside Walkmill Campsite, Warkworth.
With minimal light pollution and located in a Dark Skies area, they were recognised as the top sites to stargaze in the UK.
Langley Dam Glamping, located in the Tyne Valley on a beef and sheep farm, provides high quality, en-suite accommodation in unique glamping cabins.
The site is at the edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Six 'Langley Longboat' cabins are positioned on the bank of Langley Dam Reservoir, providing views over 14 acres of water. Langley Dam itself is a commercial fly fishery and guests can hire rowing boats to fish on the reservoir.
Award categories included Best Campsite, Best Glamping Site, Best Couples Campsite and Most Unique Site, as well as some more niche categories such as the Greener Site Award and Best Newcomer.
Best Budget Camping and Best Budget Glamping categories were also added this year.
