EACH year, hundreds of people head to Hexham town centre to get their Christmas shopping tied off.

We took a look back over the years during the Christmas shopping period in Hexham, when tourists and locals visit the market and various town centre shops.

Numerous local businesses display their wares at Hexham market place, enticing shoppers to keep their money in the local economy.

In 2021, the return of the Hexham Christmas market was hailed a success.

On December 11, hundreds of residents and visitors were drawn to the town's Christmas market.

With the Abbey Fair, Farmers' Market and late-night shopping in town, there were visits from a gang of biking Santas who gave a pop-up performance on the pipes and drums.
