A MAN has admitted killing a pensioner in Prudhoe.
Gary Anderson, 49, pleaded guilty at Newcastle's Moot Hall on Wednesday, December 14 to the manslaughter of 79-year-old Roy Clayton.
At 9.40am on December 10 last year, police attended an address on Woodhead Road following a report of a disturbance.
Officers found Mr Clayton had sustained a serious neck injury consistent with having been assaulted. He died in hospital four days later.

The Recorder of Newcastle Judge Paul Sloan QC ordered that a pre-sentence probation report and a psychiatric report should be prepared ahead of the hearing.
