HUNDREDS of angels dotted around a Tynedale village are spreading festive cheer.
Volunteers knitted or crocheted a total of 584 angels which were on display at the St Andrew's Church Christmas Tree Festival in Corbridge earlier this month.
After the angels were blessed at the church on Monday (December 19), they were placed around the village.
Linda Hunter, assistant curate at St Andrew's Church, said they had seen angels displayed in other villages, and wanted to replicate the idea.
"They are a message from the church of hope, joy, love and peace this Christmas," she said.
"We just want to make Corbridge a more happy place for Christmas."
She added people are welcome to take the angels, which are all different, home.
