A GOLF club director is 'pleased' with the positive reaction to a newly launched facility.
Since opening the new Tyne Valley Golf Lounge late last year, Prudhoe Golf Club director Andrew Scrimshaw has been 'amazed' at the interest of mixed ages to take the opportunity to use the new facility.
The new facility came from a successful crowdfunding campaign, which raised more than £23,500 through online crowdfunding, donations and support from Sport England's Places and Spaces fund enabling the club to get TrackMan technology to be installed in the lounge.
The new studio will be home to year-round coaching, junior development programmes, entertainment and multiple new revenue streams for the golf club.

It allows golfers to practise and play with accurate data. Additionally, it will enable youngsters and beginners to try fun games featuring magic, dinosaurs and more.
It also includes Pebble Beach and The Old Course at St Andrew's, among more than 200 options. Golfers can also work on their game on their own or with coaching from Prudhoe's director of golf, Andrew Scrimshaw.
Andrew said: "Thanks to the generous support of our members, the public and local businesses, as well as a £9,000 grant from Sport England's Places and Spaces fund, we're over the moon to bring this new facility – unlike anything else in the Tyne Valley area – to the golf club and the wider community."
