A son is looking to rehome his mother's three-legged disabled dog that was rescued from a kill shelter.
Civil Service worker Garrin French, is hoping to find a new forever home for Bruce, a 9 year-old mixed breed after his mother Julie French, who lived in Ponteland, rescued him last year from Romania.
"He is a lovely dog and has a lovely personality," Garrin said.
"He is like a big teddy bear and despite only having 3 legs but is still able to get around and go for walks.
"He may still need pain medicine for his legs but a part from that he is a normal dog.
"My mam was in touch with some dog rescuers and brought him over last year.
"He was spotted defending himself and surving on the streets but the fear was that he would be sent to a kill shelter.
" I am hoping someone to love him after having a terrible life in Romania.
"I would look after him and keep him myself but I can't due to work commitments as well as travelling.
"He isn’t reactive to other dogs but can get a little scared around them so he is best to becoming an only dog but I do know he would be a great companion for someone.
"He is adorable and just laps up any love you show him.
"If anyone is interested in taking him home, please contact me on Garrinfrench@gmail.com."
