TWO businesses owned by a Tyne Valley couple that went into liquidation around Christmas are now up for sale.
Diandjims nursery in Hexham closed its doors in December due to financial difficulties, making all of its staff redundant.
It followed the closure of the Prudhoe branch on the town's Broomhouse Lane in October.
The closure of the nursery, out-of-school club and holiday club, within the grounds of the former Hexham middle school owned by Di and Jim Richardson, led to fears about care provision in the town and saw other providers step in.
Shortly after, the couple announced their sister business Get Licks soft play on Prudhoe's Station Road would be closing, as well as the ice cream parlour on Hexham's Hencotes of the same name.
The soft play, formerly the Fun Station, also housed a cafe and onsite ice cream parlour.
Jim told the Courant at the time: "We've had a fabulous time.
"We were trying to make it work but it won't. I feel dreadfully sorry that we can't go on but everything's gone up to a stage where we can't afford to open the doors."
On social media, Di and Jim said the Prudhoe nursery and soft play were now up for sale and offers of interest should be received before January 20.
