It followed the closure of the Prudhoe branch on the town's Broomhouse Lane in October.
Then, the couple Di and Jim Richardson announced their sister business Get Licks soft play on Prudhoe's Station Road would be closing, as well as the ice cream parlour on Hexham's Hencotes of the same name.
The soft play, formerly the Fun Station, also housed a cafe and onsite ice cream parlour.
Here's how our readers reacted to the news.
Abby Harbottle said: "Would be great if The Family Hub could somehow aquire it and make it specifically for older children now that they are a service for children up to 18 and older if there is an additional need. Prudhoe Youth Project would likely make really good use of it.
"Whoever buys it, if it's going to be for public use, please include the disabled members of the community and make it accessible and wheelchair friendly."
Lisa Cr replied and said: "Totally agree. Total lack of childcare for children with additional needs in the area, and general accessibility things (such as changing facilities for older children) is severely lacking."
Danielle Hind said: "I know it was a good nursery such a shame."
Lisa Allison replied and said: "There's not many good ones left."
Jade Henderson said: "Time to get our ideas together."
