ONE person has been taken to hospital following two crashes on the A69 this morning.
Emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A69 at Corbridge at around 9am.
Police said while officers were in attendance, a car collided with a fire engine which was at the scene.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 08:59am to a road traffic collision on the A69 Eastbound near Corbridge Interchange. We sent two emergency ambulances and one patient was taken to Hexham General."
