THE lineup for this year's Hexham Jazz Festival has been announced.
Now in its second year, the event, which will run from May 12-14, will see an array of artists including Jo Harrop, Rachel Sutton, Paul Edis, Freddie Benedict, and Borealis perform in Hexham Abbey and at the Queen's Hall.
A DJ set by Jazz FM’s Nigel Williams is also planned, and the award-winning singer Claire Martin will close the festival.
Roy Dallison, director of Hexham Jazz Festival, said: "We are proud to support the brilliant wealth of musicians we are blessed with in the North East.
"Together with our partners, Hampstead Jazz Club Presents, we are delighted to be bringing together a rich array of local talent alongside a programme of internationally renowned stars for what promises to be an unforgettable festival of world-class jazz music."
All profits from the festival will go to Cancer Research UK.
The festival is organised in association with Hexham Rotary, Northumberland Council, Hexham Town Council and Queen’s Hall Arts Centre.
