HEXHAM'S Iceland is set for closure.
The Fore Street branch will close on April 22.
The store was previously occupied by Woolworths, which shut up shop in 2009.
The supermarket chain has shops in Blaydon and Consett.
Here's how our readers reacted to the news.
Diane Nichol said: "Another store? Going to be nothing left soon. Turning into a ghost town."
Margaret Walter added: "If they bring down the rent and rates, shops would stay. Now, what will we get? Another charity shop? It's so sad for such a lovely town."
Graeme Jardine said he hoped "there isn't a decreased footfall effect for the remaining shops", while Stuart Stokoe commented: "Parking is the big issue at Iceland Hexham."
