A NATIONAL Trust association is encouraging new members to sign up.
The Tyne Valley National Trust Association draws membership from Northumberland and Tyneside, but welcomes those wishing to support the National Trust.
From September to May, it hires a speaker for a talk in a room at Hexham Abbey. This gives members opportunities to enjoy various subjects.
During summer months, people can join its day trips. The association has a special lunch in spring and at Christmas.

The success of these events has allowed it to provide financial support for conservation support to National Trust projects at Cragside, Lindisfarne Castle and the Farne Islands, the Northumbrian Coast, Seaton Delaval Hall and Wallington.
Any new member would receive a warm welcome at its meetings.
