SCHOOLCHILDREN across Tynedale dressed up as their favourite characters for World Book Day on Thursday.
Lots of schools and nurseries once again took part in the annual celebration of books and reading, and we asked Hexham Courant readers to send in pictures of their children's costumes.
We received dozens of photos and saw some amazing creations.
