A PONTELAND man appeared in court accused of assault.
Joe March, of Kirkley Drive, was before magistrates in Newcastle on March 27.
The 31-year-old stood accused of two counts of assault by beating on November 20 in Newcastle.
He also faced a charge of damaging a parking sign and glass door to the value of £2,000 at McDonalds in Kingston Park and a separate charge for failing to stop after a road accident.
Mr March was granted conditional bail by magistrates and will be sent to Newcastle Crown Court for sentencing on April 24.
