BESPOKE high-visibility vests have been handed to members of a litter-picking group.
On Wednesday, April 5, members of the local litter-picking group The Wombles were presented with their own high-visibility vests designed by Alice Fairless-Aitken and sponsored by McCarthy Stone, the UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities.
The Wombles, who regularly litter pick in Hexham, were joined by several occupants of Hewson Court as well as the sales team and Cat Bell, Hewson Court's house manager.
Victoria Dry, area sales manager, said: "One of McCarthy Stone's values is putting the community first. Hewson Court has 60 pensioners living here and is a huge and valuable part of the community."
Jill, a regular litter picker, was delighted with her new high-visibility vest and said: "I really enjoy being part of The Wombles, and if you can leave a place a better place, that has to be alright."
