EVENTS will be held in Hexham for King Charles III's Coronation on the first weekend in May.
The Coronation will be held on Saturday, May 6 and will bring residents together to celebrate.
Northumberland County Council's Coronation funding has allowed Hexham Community Centre to hold free events marking the occasion.
This will include a children's art competition, upcycling craft drop-ins and a Coronation Party.
Jill Goodfellow, Hexham Community Centre manager, said: “Big national events such as the Coronation can be a difficult time for people living in isolation who may not want to partake in the celebrations alone. A key aim of our Coronation Party is to invite those who would otherwise be alone to join us and create special memories, reminiscent of the communal viewings for Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation.”
Enter pictures inspired by the Coronation of King Charles in the Coronation Kids' Art competition to be in with the chance of seeing your artwork on display at Hexham Community Centre and win an art prize.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 5, the winners will be chosen by guests at the Coronation Party on Saturday, May 6.
