A FIRST school celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III.
Hexham First School celebrated the coronation on Friday, May 6 with students, staff and parents.
Headteacher and designated safeguarding lead, Justine Overton, said: "We have had the most amazing day with our wonderful children in school.
"They have had great fun bouncing on the bouncy castle, eating ice cream, playing royal bingo, pretending to be royal in the photo booth, planting royal sunflower seeds, pinning the crown on the king, covering themselves in royal tattoos and the best indoor street party ever.
"Parents joined in the celebrations and listened to children sing Sing for the King and planting our royal oak and burying the time capsule.
"Our plan was to create an event for the children to mark the coronation of King Charles III that they will remember forever, I think we managed it," Ms Overton said.
