POLICE have confirmed that no-one was seriously injured aftter they repsonded to a traffic collision and vehicle fire on the A69 at Throckley in Newcastle today (June 7).
The road was closed for a period of time but is now open.
A spokeswoman said: “Shortly after midday today, we received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A69 at Throckley in Newcastle.
“It was reported that one of the vehicles was on fire.
“Emergency services attended and put the fire out.
“A number of people have received treatment at the scene although no-one is believed to have to been seriously injured.
“The road, which was closed for a period of time, is now being fully re-opened.”
