Award winning authors Ann Cleeves and Mari Hannah are joining forces for a 'thriller' of an evening.
'Summer Tyne Crime' will see the two local novelists in conversation about their plots, characters and locations.
The pair have also published new books in their gripping series of detective stories.
Vera Stanhope is called in to solve a murder on Holy Island; Stone & Oliver investigate a double killing in Kielder.
The event will be at Hexham Auction Mart’s Function Suite on July 6 and will be hosted by North East TV presenter Chris Jackson.
It is also in aid of local dementia charity, Chrysalis Club Tynedale.
As well as offering an insight into the region’s best known fictional detectives and their creators, there will be an auction with some very special lots on offer.
Ann Cleeves said: “I can’t wait to team up with my friend Mari to talk all things criminal for such a brilliant cause.”
Mari Hannah added: “I’m honoured to be a patron of such an important charity supporting those living with dementia. With an army of volunteers, Chrysalis Club Tynedale makes an amazing difference to so many families.”
Tickets priced at £18 can be purchased at www.chrysalisclub.org.uk
Doors open 7pm.
