A MAJOR retail premises in Prudhoe town centre is on the market.
The premises for sale, located on Prudhoe Front Street, is being advertised on Zoopla for a price disclosed on asking.
The current businesses occupying the buildings, such as Tyne View Motors, will continue to operate as normal regardless of who purchases the land.
The sale will not affect current leases and businesses located there will continue trading with no expected change in circumstances.
County Councillor Gordon Stewart, who represents Prudhoe South, said: "I hope the sale goes through quickly so discussions can take place with the new owners and we can work together along with traders and other interested parties, Prudhoe town centre is a fantastic location for businesses of all types."
Zoopla's website said: "The property is situated centrally within Prudhoe with an extensive frontage to Front Street. Access to the rear of the property is situated on Tyne View Terrace, connecting to the industrial units and car parking. Front Street forms the town’s main high street and provides a linear focal point to the town’s retail provision. The property provides the dominant retail provision within the town.
"The surrounding area is predominantly residential with nearby occupiers on Front Street including national multiples such as Lloyd’s Bank and Co-Op, Greggs, and Boots in addition to local independents."
