TWO celebrities have started a new role outside their TV shows.

Presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly took their new roles as 'Happiness Ambassadors' for TUI seriously when they were seen surprising holidaymakers at Newcastle Airport.

The pair filmed the surprises and it is believed that the footage will be available soon.

The Geordie duo did a fantastic job surprising and delighting North East passengers heading off on their holidays and we can't wait to see the final footage."
