TEAMMATES are celebrating the success of their latest fundraiser.
Northumberland Ladies County Golf Association is celebrating fundraising £636 for the captain's chosen charity - Breast Cancer Now at their annual Durnell trophy competition.
Over 140 ladies gathered at Longhirst Hall wearing different shades of pink and were glad to enjoy the sun while fundraising for the great cause.
Anne Moyle, a member of the club from Hexham said: "It was a fantastic event.
"The sun shone for most of the day and 140 ladies came out to play in 50 shades of pink.
"We raised over £636 for the Captains Charity Breast Cancer Now.
"Winners of the team event were the last team out catching the rain and playing on their home course with a fantastic score of 125 team points - Sue Kelly, Janet Cornhill, Lesley Dennis, and Eileen Gow.
"For the 'nearest the pin on the 10th', Corrie Murphy from Newbiggin had a great shot on the 10th and secured some pink fizz for her teammates.
"Finally, for the 'best-dressed team' - although there were many great teams to choose from - the winners with their wigs & tutus were Tynemouth ladies Jane Henderson, Bernadette Thompson, Carol Brodie & Caroline Combe.
"There are so many thank yous for such a great day. I would like to thank Longhirst Hall GC, the ladies' section, the greenkeepers & their hospitality team. Myra Robinson our Competition Secretary for her pink Brest Cancer magic and all of her helpers throughout the day."
