A TEEN has claimed another title in a National golf competition.
Charlotte Naughton, 15, has won the title of the U16 National Schools Championship.
This is the first time the pupil from Ponteland High School has won the title but adds to her achievement of already being the current England U14 champion and Northumberland Ladies county champion.
Earlier in the year, Charlotte played her first international for her country against Spain in June and will now represent England Schools v Wales in August.
Charlotte's father said: "This is the second year in a row Charlotte has made the schools national team.
"Charlotte's Road to winning the U16 National Schools championship started in May when she won the Northumberland Schools Championship.
"The competition was extremely tough in both the girls and boys categories with over 72 competitors in the final played in wet and windy conditions."
