A golfer from Northumberland who recovered from prostate cancer has organised an event to support the UK charity next month.
Paul Nash founded Play2Support in 2017 after overcoming the disease via laparoscopic surgery, following an early diagnosis in 2010.
The not-for-profit social enterprise aims to raise money and awareness for charities through sporting competitions and has raised more than £9,000 in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
Play2Support will work with Alston Moor golf club once again on Friday, September 1 for a day of competition, raffles, and food, after last year's event on the same course raised £3,500.
Entry costs £20 and is open to male, female, or mixed pairs of any age and any handicap, with prizes, a raffle, and a buffet all available.
Alston Moor offers a challenging 18 holes of golf, over its 10 greens and 18 tee positions.
The club is situated two miles south of Alston in 132 acres of parkland, high meadow, and pasture land. Just 15 miles south of Hadrian's Wall, the course offers spectacular views of the North Pennines.
To book your place go to the club's website or to donate and for more details go to www.play2support.co.uk.
