WE asked our readers what they thought Hexham town centre needed. Here's what they said.
1 Better shopping
Joyce Bunn said: "No more charity shops, barbers or hairdressers, a decent clothes shop or two and a supermarket in the town not on the outskirts. And a good tidy up and clean."
Lisa Buchanan said: "Clothes shops people can actually afford, in the town centre that is."
Sally Mc said: "We need more independent shops that offer services and goods in a way that Amazon and the like doesn't."
Graeme Edwards said: "A great department store with an arcade with shops, bars, restaurants to sit out at."
John Howdon, Susan Clark and Katie Blair also said more shops were needed.
Paul Stead said: "Definitely a Barry's Bargains and a Currys."
Diane McClarron Elliot said: "Be nice to have some clothes shops at a reasonable price. Primark and a Woolworths-type shop."
Jan Brown said: "Decent clothes and shoe shops would be a start."
Paula Amos said: "I want Iceland back, it's such a miss."
2 Development of the old bus station
Roger Higgins said: "Compulsory purchase by Northumberland County Council of the bus station site and its redevelopment."
Richard Pearson said the old Robbs site should be developed along with the old bus station.
Gayle Foster also added: "Development of the old Robbs site, it could be split into smaller retail units to make it affordable, and development of the old bus station."
3 Children's facilities
Emma Marshall said there should be more facilities for children.
4 Improved marketplace
Margaret Ainsley said: "A fantastic market like it used to be, a great place."
5 Cheaper rent for shops
Emma Marshall also said the shops should be cheaper to rent.
Paul Stead said: "Cheaper business rates to allow folk to open new shops and businesses."
Gayle Foster said: "A thriving market on a Tuesday and Saturday, maybe reduce rents to encourage new traders. Reduce rents and rates to encourage more businesses to move in."
6 Indoor skate park
Amber Lauren said: "Indoor skate park. A trampoline park on the outskirts."
7 Pump track
James Coates said Hexham needed a pump track at Tyne Green.
8 More wheelchair accessibility
Margaret Crowther said the town needed more wheelchair accessibility.
9 More affordable housing
Jessica Hartshorne said: "Affordable housing that isn’t all new builds."
10 Improved road links
Steven Pigg said: "Some better road links and parking, they’ve built the whole place into a bottleneck, as for the centre it needs to be traffic lights or a roundabout not both."
