On a hot September day at Shipley Golf Club, Bradford, Paul Nash and Gilbert Scott of Stocksfield Golf Club emerged victorious in the Prostate Cancer UK Northern Region Championship.
This annual event, one of four held across the country, enables the charity to thank golf clubs and their members who help raise money to support vital research.
The tournament comprised 18 teams, each consisting of four players, with the best two scores on each hole counting towards the final tally.
Nash and Scott teamed up with Derek Easton and Ian Fennel from Uphall Golf Club, West Lothian, and together they achieved an impressive 100 stableford points on the challenging course.
This placed them seven points ahead of their closest competitors.
They received a stylish glass trophy and a high-end range finder.
Nash, who had previously set up Play2Support, a social enterprise that donates all proceeds to Prostate Cancer UK, has a long-standing commitment to the cause.
This includes partnering with Alston Moor Golf Club, which has raised an impressive £14,000 over four years, despite its small membership of just 80.
Nash and Scott will be taking part in the charity's Big Golf Race on September 18.
