For the third week in a row, Tynedale snappers were able to capture the Northern Lights that spead across the skies around Hexham and district areas.
Due to its now regular occurrence, photographer and founder of Twice Brewed Stargazing Wil Cheung is urging residents more than ever to keep their eyes on the skies as it is 'prime time' for Northern Lights spotting.
He said: "September to March is the aurora season as the skies are darker and longer, [last] Sunday an eruption from the sun resulted in stronger solar winds which arrived last night interacting with Earth’s atmosphere and it generated an Aurora Storm.
"With an 11 year cycle of activity the Sun is approaching Solar Maximum, which should mean plenty more displays over the next six months."
