A NEW exhibition format will launch at an art gallery later this month.
Allendale Forge Studios and Gallery will host its first open exhibition, called Forge Open '23, which will feature a wide variety of artworks submitted by artists living in the North East.
Forge Open '23 aims to reflect the diversity of artists in the North East and beyond, encourage creative exchange and expand the reach of artistic networks.
The open call attracted a lot of attention, the exhibition format being open to all artists with the only requirements being that submitted works had to be wall-based and not exceed the maximum size for length plus height of 75cm.
Works of successful applicants will be shown at the Forge Gallery from October 1 to October 31. There will be a preview evening on September 30, where prizes will be awarded and handed out to the winning artists.
Situated in the heart of Northumberland, the Forge Gallery and Studios play an important role in promoting art, education, creative businesses, community networking and skill sharing.
