WE asked our readers which long-lost pubs they missed the most in Tynedale. Here's what they said.

Christine Barber, Paul R A. Mitcheson, Mandy Ferrol and William Owen Burgess said they missed The Old Grey Bull, Hexham.

Amanda Wilkinson listed: "The Hotspur, Allendale Inn and Hare and Hounds, all in Allendale."

George Johnson, Adrian Proud and Paul Cross chose the Hadrian Hotel at Wall, and Howard Graham chose the White Hart which was once on Fore Street in Hexham.

Alison Skene and Carolyn Todd said The Haydon Hotel in Haydon Bridge and Bill Moulding said: "The Heart on Market Street in the days of Tim, John and Peter and not forgotten David, happy days."

John Taylor also said: "Haydon Hotel in Haydon Bridge with Jeff Brown behind the bar."

Richard Goodfellow added: "The Hare and Hounds at Allendale, spent a lot of great nights there in my formative years."

Edith Gray voted for The Moorcock up the North Tyne. "Was a lovely place back in the day, great atmosphere," she said.

Angel Hill chose The Railway Inn, Fourstones along with John Daglish.

Gill McDonough Erving said she missed The Tynedale in Corbridge and Richard Vickers chose The Skinners.

Darren William Cross said he missed The Fox pub in Prudhoe, while Caroline Howie chose The Highlander Inn Ovington.
