A YELLOW warning has been issued by the Met Office for parts of the North East.
Tynedale residents are being warned that there could be a small chance of flooding across Northumberland as newly named Storm Babet passes through the UK this week.
The warning is for a period of four days and will bring very wet weather to parts of eastern England, southern Scotland, and the Pennines between Wednesday 18 and Saturday 21 October.
On the Met website, it said: "The heaviest rainfall is likely to be across high ground in this region, although even some low lying more populated areas are likely to see some heavy rainfall also.
"Widely 20-40 mm of rain is likely to fall, but some upland areas of northern England and southern Scotland could see as much as 70-100 mm of rain.
"The rain may also be accompanied by some very strong southeasterly winds at times, which could exacerbate impacts."
