A flock of Shaun the Sheep sculptures fetched £195,400 at auction for Newcastle's St Oswald's Hospice.
The hand-painted figures, based on the iconic Aardman character, delighted locals and visitors this summer as they formed a public art trail around Newcastle for St Oswald's Hospice's Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne.
37 of the larger sheep, three smaller Shaun sculptures, plus a little Elmer, were auctioned off on October 10 at Newcastle Civic Centre.
The highest bid of the night was for Wor Shaun, painted by Dan Lycett of Wor Flags, which went for a whopping £11,000.
St Oswald's Hospice Chief Executive, Steph Edusei, said: "The tension and excitement in the room was intense, as our in person bidders went head to head with hundreds of Shaun fans who had registered to bid online.
"Seeing each sheep sell for such huge amounts, and the joy it brought people to buy them was just incredible."
