Northumberland College celebrated the accomplishments of its Higher Education graduates at an inspirational graduation ceremony.
The event unfolded on the college's Kirkley Hall Campus where diplomas were distributed for a variety of courses such as honours degrees, foundation degrees, professional qualifications, higher apprenticeships, higher national certificates, and higher national diplomas.
Alison Shaw, the Vice Chair of Governors, initiated the proceedings.
Following her lead, the students assumed their place in the spotlight.
After the ceremony, a drinks reception in the historic Kirkley Hall offered the chance for them to celebrate with loved ones, wrapping up their time at the college and looking ahead to their promising futures.
The guest of honour was John McCabe, North East Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive.
He said: “I was struck by the energy, ambition, and determination in the room, it’s those qualities that will create the business leaders, the entrepreneurs, and the skilled workforce of tomorrow.
“I look forward to seeing the impact I know those graduates will go on to make in shaping the future of the North East."
Graduate Rebecca Duckworth studied a BSc (Hons) in Applied Animal Management.
She was awarded the Principal’s Award for Academic Excellence for going above and beyond within her studies and adding value to the wider college student experience, community, her employment, further progression and skills.
