Hexham Barca Football Team, proudly supported by local business 'We Buy Cars Hexham', celebrated the season's first victory.

Seeing the players in action, all smiles and donning the We Buy Cars Hexham branded club shirts, the company says providing sponsorship to the team was 'truly worthwhile'.

The company said that the team looked 'fantastic' in their new kits.

Giving a run down of the game, Coach Michael Trotter praised the team's top performance against Westerhope, which saw them victorious with a score of 6-2.

He said: "The lads delivered a stellar performance today against a strong opponent. Their teamwork was impressive, and they showcased excellent passing football.

"They created numerous opportunities and executed both team and individual goals brilliantly.

"Defensively, they were solid, keeping our opponents' chances to a minimum.

"Overall, it was an outstanding display, and they thoroughly deserved the win."

Alfie, scoring thrice, Callum with two goals, and Cody also on the scoresheet, fuelled their victory.

Maxi, the match's standout performer, received Man of the Match honours.
