Allendale Primary School now ranks in the top 10 among over 500 schools in their area for clothing recycling through Fundraise & Recycle's clothing bank.
The school has gathered more than 4000kg of clothes from families and the wider community so far.
"Thanks to our families and the wider community we have recycled over 4000kg of clothing to date," announced the school.
The school receives money for every kilogram recycled which goes towards school enrichment activities for all year groups.
Owing to the substantial collection, the school is now hosting an extra travelling clothes bank, and they will receive double the commission during this period.
The travelling bank will be outside the school until November 24.
Locals in the Allen Valleys are encouraged to donate unwanted clothes from their Christmas clear outs, anytime, to bins at the school entrance.
