Northumberland fire crews are scaling down their presence after they attended a barn fire in Heugh near Stamfordham, Northumberland.
The crews were alerted to the fire around 3.15 pm earlier tonight (Saturday, November 25) and have confirmed they will be at the site for another 90 minutes.
Residents of the area have been asked to keep windows and doors closed as they attend to the fire.
An NFRS spokesperson said: "We were alerted to the incident around 3.15 pm to a fire at a 20-40m barn in Heugh near Stamfordham.
"We are now scaling down our presence but will remain at the site for another 90 minutes as we dampen the alighted hay bales.
"We had six appliances at the scene and advise residents in the area to keep windows and doors closed while we tackle the incident."
