Wingrove Motor Company is backing a new hospice outreach service by providing a vehicle for St Oswald's Hospice.
The service, launched in the summer, offers specialised home care for children and young adults with complex medical needs who live across the North East.
Sister Rebecca Liddle, head of the new service, revealed her excitement about the prospect of the service growing and expanding their care delivery to more children and their families.
She commented on the significant impact the electric Citroen EC4, provided by Wingrove, will have on their ability to deliver the service across the region.
St Oswald's Hospice, which has been offering onsite short-term care for more than two decades, initiated this outreach service in response to an increase in the number of children needing palliative care.
Jane Hogan, head of fundraising for the hospice, expressed gratitude for the vehicle that is set to become an integral part of their service.
Wingrove's managing director, Josh Parker, said: "None of us know when we might need the help and support of the amazing Hospice team and we’re extremely pleased to be continuing our relationship by supporting this invaluable new service.”
