A man has been taken to hospital after being involved in a one-vehicle collision on the A695.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Wednesday, January 3 near Stocksfield after 6pm.
The driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital and both directions of the road was shortly opened after the vehicle was recovered.
Police has confirmed the man has not suffered any life-threatening injuries.
Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 6pm yesterday (Wednesday) we received a report of a one-vehicle collision on the A695 at Stocksfield.
“Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the vehicle – a man in his 20s – was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
“A section of the road was closed in both directions to allow for recovery of the vehicle and re-opened several hours later.”
