Squiggle Productions is poised to bring The Boy and The Seahorse back to Hexham's Queen's Hall this half term.
The play had its first run at the venue in 2022, leaving young audiences delighted.
Created by Benjamin Storey, also the founder of Squiggle Productions, the 'magical Northumbrian folktale' will be staged on February 22.
The Boy and The Seahorse combines storytelling, projected animation, shadow puppetry, and original folk music.
The story sketches out the adventurous journey of a brave soldier boy and his magical seahorse companion, set amidst a tumultuous storm in Northumberland in 1899.
Mr Storey says he chose the seahorse because of its symbolism in the North East region.
He said: "It features on our football strips and in architecture, and it's kind of an emblem for the North East."
The show is recommended for children aged five and above and their families.
The show starts at 2.30pm and the price for the tickets is £12 for adults and £10 for children.
Bookings can be made either online at www.queenshall.co.uk or by contacting the Queen's Hall Box Office team at 01434 652477.
