A ground-breaking stress management workshop will be coming to Kendal next month to help people function effectively.
Adapt & Evolve Consultancy has sealed a partnership with Cumbria Chamber to conduct the workshop and help local businesses across the region.
The Biological Well-Being Workshop will be hosted at 9am on February 6 at Castle Green Hotel in Kendal.
Organisers say the session has been praised for touching lives and bringing life-changing knowledge to the general public, particularly in southern Cumbria.
The workshop organisers, Dr Zoe Billings and Mark Pannone, have demonstrated their capabilities through their vast experience with positive participant results.
They say their method has been tested and implemented by an estimated 1200 people so far.
Dr Billings, who has a Ph.D in biology from the University of York and worked as an Inspector in North Yorkshire Police, says she specialises in the art of stress relief with a scientific touch.
Dr Billings said: "People might believe they are fine, and feel like they are coping, but this workshop will teach people to recognise the signs of stress and listen to their body so they don’t realise too late."
Many believe high costs are associated with health maintenance, but according to Dr Billings, this workshop possesses the keys to body balance that are cost-free.
She said: "It provides them with a useful toolkit to deal with that in ways which won’t cost them anything – there’s no gym membership or anything like that to fund.
"This is advice which is really effective and really works."
Dr Billings referenced a Deloitte report stating that the correct £1 investment in well-being amounts to a remarkable £5.60 in productivity.
As the Office of National Statistics declared that 400,000 UK citizens took prolonged sick leaves in the past month, this workshop aims to minimise this figure.
Dr Billings stated that last year's workshops prompted lifestyle modifications in 92 per cent of attendees, and 100 per cent of them would recommend the workshop to their colleagues or friends.
Lesley Robinson, Head of Business Support at Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said: "We’re delighted to be partnering with Adapt and Evolve to deliver this training.
"Their stress management training has already helped so many people get their stress under control and improve their wellbeing.
"We’re excited to help facilitate this and bring this benefit to more people."
Open to all who aim to improve their stress management skills, registration for the workshop is available through the Biological Well-being workshop link below https://my.cumbriachamber.co.uk/calendar_detail.html?eid=DDD3970C-AB77-494F-A46D-85B709FC6A48
