TOWN councillors hope to spark interest in a renewable energy and electric vehicle event this month.
Hexham Town councillors are organising the free Electric Dreams: Combined Home Energy and Electrical Vehicle event, which will take place from 10am-3pm in Hexham Library and the Abbey car park on Saturday, February 10.
The event will host home renewable energy system installers in Hexham Library, inside the Queen's Hall, who have specialised knowledge and can guide residents through concerns with solar panels, air source heat pumps, home batteries, EV chargers and more.
Leading car manufacturers will showcase their latest electric models in the Abbey car park, including Tesla, BMW, Nissan, Hyundai, and MG4.
Northumberland County Council will be available to share insights on home energy efficiency, tips to reduce bills, grants offered by the county council and assistance with grant applications for council schemes.
Community Action Northumberland will also attend to share resources and knowledge.
This event brings everything together and makes it easier to explore options and connect with local suppliers, all conveniently located in one place, and councillors hope it can help to dispel some of the common misconceptions surrounding renewable energy.
