THE Met office predicts 'disruption' to travel and rural communities as power cuts as wintery weather will hit Hexham this Thursday and Friday.
A yellow warning has been put in place to warn residents about issues the upcoming snow which could cause issues with power cuts, rural communities being cut off and traffic delays including rail cancellations around the Northumberland.
Motorists have also been recommended to plan their routes by checking for delays and road closures to their destinations. Other advice includes to leave more time to prepare and check your car before setting off. Drivers are also being told to check wipers, tyres, and screen wash but also to pack essentials in cars and take a charged mobile phone with an in-car charger or battery pack.
