The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) critical care teams in the North East and Cumbria responded to 17 incidents, including a cyclist accident, over a hectic weekend.
The team was activated 13 times during the day on their helicopters and four times at night on their rapid response vehicles.
Stamfordham saw critical care intervene at 2.03pm on February 3 for a road traffic accident involving a bike.
GNAAS said they had a paramedic and doctor on board their aircraft who arrived on scene at 2.23pm.
The team collaborated with North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to assess and treat the patient who was then rushed to the hospital by NEAS officers.
Other emergency incidents was a crash in Barnard Castle on the same day, where responders were called at 8.46am for another cyclist-involved road traffic collision.
Following their arrival at 8.55am, assessment and action saw the patient airlifted to hospital.
Additionally on February 4 in Lemington, Newcastle upon Tyne, an assault took place, prompting response from the team at 3.55pm.
They reached the scene by 4.12pm, providing care and ensuring safe transmission of the patient to the hospital in collaboration with NEAS.
