HEXHAM leaders have offered their best wishes to King Charles III following his diagnosis with cancer.
The King is currently at Clarence House and will continue official behind-the-scenes duties as he has already started treatment for the unspecified cancer. He has been advised by a medical team to step back from public-facing duties.

Hexham MP, Guy Opperman, posting on X, said: "Thoughts and prayers for His Majesty The King and wishing him a full and speedy recovery."
Hexham Mayor, Derek Kennedy, said: "It's very sad to hear the news of King Charles III, but I'm sure he will be receiving the finest medical care possible. He's waited all his life to take on the role and deliver public services and now he is being curtailed by this terrible illness. Hexham wishes him well."
Northumberland County Council leader, Glen Sanderson, added :"Everyone at the County Council are saddened by the news of His Majesty’s illness and wish him well."
