A brand new contemporary theatre production, which captures the lived experiences of young people, will be showcased in Northumberland.
Inevitable?, brought by Mortal Fools Ensemble Young Company, will start its anticipated Spring tour in the North East, with daytime and evening performances at the YMCA Northumberland in Ashington on March 23.
Member Connor highlighted the value of the production process saying: "The devising process brought everyone closer together and it’s been fun exploring different lived experiences of growing up."
Inevitable? promises a raw exploration of the ins and outs of young adulthood using the true-life experiences and emotions of the young company members involved in the production.
Scott Wilson, Mortal Fools young people’s practitioner, promises an extraordinary show, combining theatre, music, and animation.
"Audiences will be invited to question what it means to 'grow up' in 2024," he said.
Ensemble Young Company member Alana assured potential viewers of an emotive spectacle: "The show is a rollercoaster of emotions; you will laugh, cry and develop a real connection with each character."
Next stops after Northumberland include Gosforth Civic Theatre, Newcastle upon Tyne; Burnley Youth Theatre, Burnley; and Theatre Porto, Ellesmere Port.
